2. They found gum and some random stuff. Boo may have been giving them things through the knothole of the radley tree.
3. Cecil Jacobs and Francis were insulting Scout's father, Atticus. Citizens of Maycomb had been racist against black people for generations. She has been influenced by her father with good qualities about equality in races.
4. It was both Atticus's duties to kill the mad dog and to help and defend Tom Robinson.
5. Atticus is both a good and bad father. He teaches his children good and correct things like equality and the importance in learning. However, he spends little time with his children because of the huge amount of time he spends on reading and doing his work.
Avoid using the words "random stuff" as it does not mean much. You can be more specific like "random things for the children such as..." Atticus is not exactly a bad father. From my perspective, I feel that Atticus is a highly respected man as he is not racist and teaches his children not to be racist to. He teaches his children to be good gentleman(Jem) and learn to accept people or things that his children might disagree with. He probably foresaw that this is much more important than manners and therefore seldom teach his children(especially Scout) the right manners and right behaviours.
